CNY 2026 Traffic Advisory (Feb 14-20)

If you are driving out of the Klang Valley, especially toward Penang, plan around toll discounts and stricter CNY enforcement dates.

• Government CNY toll discount (Feb 14-15): 50% toll discount for Class 1 private vehicles at toll plazas nationwide, plus Class 2 vehicles at the Penang Bridge. Excludes border toll plazas at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (North-South Expressway) and Tanjung Kupang (Malaysia-Singapore Second Link).
• Second Penang Bridge discount (Feb 14-15): JKSB announced a separate 50% discount for Class 1 vehicles on the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Bridge, from 12.01am Saturday, Feb 14, 2026 to 11.59pm Sunday, Feb 15, 2026.
• Police enforcement reminder (Op Selamat 25, Feb 15-20): Police said they are strictly enforcing six offences: speeding, dangerous overtaking, phone use while driving, running red lights, emergency-lane misuse, and fatigued driving. More than 2.8 million vehicles are expected on major highways.

Drive safe: avoid speeding, rest before long drives, and keep your phone off while driving.
